El SIGA (Sistema Integrado de Gestión Administrativa) fue desarrollado por el Ministerio de EconomÃa y Finanzas – MEF con la finalidad de apoyar a las entidades públicas a simplificar sus procesos administrativos siguiendo normas establecidas por cada ente rector de los sistemas administrativos.
Uno de los aspectos más importantes de esta herramienta informática es el catálogo de bienes, servicios y obras el cual es administrado por el mismo MEF y a la fecha cuenta con miles de Ãtems disponibles para su uso. La finalidad es este catálogo es de estandarizar nombres, unidades de medida, clasificadores de gasto y cuentas contables por cada bien, servicio y obra utilizado por las entidades públicas.
